Dead Weight Walkin'

Five hungry brothers caught up in a fight,
Deciding on the best way to slice up a pie,
Brother number one said I am top of the tree,
So half that pie is coming to me,
To brother number two I give a quarter of that pie,
Brothers three and four, well you decide,
Brother number five wide eyed watched them all,
As he stood there hungry scrapping the bowl.

Now none of them noticed as time slipped by,
As brother number one took a bigger slice of the pie,
man he was clever, really played them for fools,
They never went hungry but they was never full,
He keep them in line they didn't rock the boat,
As he tightened his grip upon that yoke,
Only brother number five tried to carry the fight,
But none of them was listening as he cried.

Now winter it came, it really bit to the bone,
And things weren't rosie in that brothers home,
But brother number one he look out for himself,
As them others they went hungry and they cried,
