Biography
Well worth hunting down.” – MOJO

“The best we’ve heard this year.” - WRFG FM in Atlanta

"Exceptional…truly memorable…very highly recommended." – Blues Matters

Guitarist, singer, songwriter Little G Weevil (born July, 1977) is one of the most unique entertainers on the scene today. His approach to the American Roots and Blues Music makes him one of a kind. This high energy and very laid back performer sings his heart out, picks his guitar like he just got "struck by lightning" and tells his real life stories in a way that is really hard to forget. At the age of 34 he already has performed in fourteen countries on three continents, occasionally sharing the stage with his musical icons: Johnny Winter, the Neville Brothers, Anson Funderburgh, Sam Myers, the Holmes Brothers just to name a few.

Little G Weevil started out as a drummer and began playing the guitar at 17. He was introduced and captivated by the music scene through listening to legendary musicians such as John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins, Albert Collins, B.B. King and Chuck Berry.

“John Lee Hooker and his blues was for me, like my grandfather and the tales he use to tell. When I first heard the songs Hobo Blues and Never Get Out of These Blues Alive, I thought to myself, God, I am part of this, I feel it, I belong to this.”

Ever since he started his career he has focused solely on the music of the American South and this can be clearly heard in his compositions. Although he has never had formal guitar or vocal lessons he now performs worldwide.

He established his own band in 1998. With his deep powerful voice and his ability to become one with his guitar, attention focused upon Little G. very early in his career. After years of touring mostly European countries he released his first single (Chump Change) in 2001 and his first album (One) with his European band Pure Blues in 2004 under the EU based label D&B.

In the same year he moved to Memphis, TN where he received a long-term contract on the legendary Beale Street.
He has performed on numerous occasions in Beale Street's famous Blues clubs and has made his debut tours in the USA on his own or as a side man of Soul Blues singer Louisiana Mojo Queen.

His first solo recordings were also produced in Memphis in 2005.

In 2007, Little G signed up with the Atlanta, GA based King Mojo Records. A year later he left the label for Apic Records and released his very first solo album, the critically acclaimed "Southern Experience". Album supporting tours took place in the USA, Canada, England, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia Montenegro, Slovak Republic, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Greece with outstanding success.

In 2009 he relocated to Kennesaw, GA where he has been based ever since.

His second solo album "The Teaser" drops in December 2011.
