Biography
From the Big Easy, The City of New Orleans.

The group was formed in New Orleans. “On The Battlefield” was their first album released in 1996. The members then included lead singer and gospel hall of famer Allen Butler. Also with the group were two former members of The Zion Harmonizers ,namely, Louis Johnson and Nories Louis. Earl Peterson was with the group then and Louis Cooper, the current manager, baritone singer, and guitarist. The current members are lead vocalist, Rev. Isaac Clark, first tenor, Lawrence Davis, second tenor, Glenn Meyers, drummer, Shawn King and producer Rev. Larry Young formerly of Slim and The Supreme Angels. The members of the group now include a preacher, two deacons, and a member of the choir.

Their music style is characterized by their blend of good old classic gospel quartet with the bluesy, jazzy guitar. Louis Cooper (manager and guitarist) brings experience to this new group having been with several touring groups in the past (The Royal Harmonizers of Washington D.C., The New Spirits of Boston and The Faithful Gospel Singers of New Orleans). The members of Christian Brothers attend separate churches in New Orleans. Their church affiliations include: Loving Four Gospel Tabernacle, Macedonia Baptist Church, and Gloryland Mt Gillian Baptist Church. The Christian Brothers recently appeared in New Orleans at Macedonia Full Gospel Baptist, Loving Four Tabernacle, Macedonia Baptist Church, Gloryland Mt. Gillion Baptist Church.

The title song on the new album from The Christian Brothers is “Speak to Me”. This is a reminder that God speaks to us in His word. Lead singer Rev. Isaac Clark has that classic, beautiful, melodic lead tenor voice reminiscent of Sam Cooke. The songs are classic gospel quartet flavored and are designed for today’s gospel listeners old and young to inspire and reassure. “I Prayed” is another song and has that New Orleans get up and let’s dance beat.

The Christian Brothers want to deliver a great message in the music and keep the gospel quartet music authentic, not too hard and not too soft.
