Biography
Burning Ships is the brain child of San Francisco Bay area artist Fritz Limner. Limner brings a diverse creative background to bear on his first full-length CD, Empty Hold. Filled with multifarious musical styles and ambient soundscapes, Empty Hold is an aural journey not soon forgotten.

A Massachusetts ex-pat, Fritz Limner had been in and around the Boston music scene all through his youth. Playing Boston clubs since the age of fifteen, Limner has experienced a wondrous expanse of musical permutation and creative expression in the ever-changing world of what we now call Alternative and Indie music.

Burning Ships is the culmination of two years in the studio writing and recording and Empty Hold is the apogee of all of that work. The project began in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area in 2010. When Fritz moved out West in 2011, he finished recording and mastering in the Bay Area in California, making San José his new home base. Burning Ships’ Empty Hold is a junket filled with storytelling and a flavor all its own.
