Carrie Cunningham is an authentic, sultry, slightly twisted and totally believable voice on the New Country/Americana scene. Musically daring and more interesting than a traditional three-chord country singer, Carrie is not unlike a Modern Day Bobby Gentry. She has the sass of Miranda Lambert and a powerhouse voice like Martina McBride; all the while, the sweetness that seethes from the rich tones of Pam Tillis. This latest EP, Secrets, tells stories of small town scandals, love gone wrong, and getting even in more than one way. It was co-produced and engineered by Multi-Grammy winners Jerry Salley and Chris Latham.

Carrie Cunningham has won a national singing competition, sang with a NW symphony choral, and has had previous single go #1 in Europe and another single hit the top 10. She has a degree in voice and also in live sound production. Carrie has opened up for many national artists, such as Kacey Musgraves, Diamond Rio, Jake Owen and many more. This triple threat currently has two indie cuts with other artists and will be hitting the road to push her EP, SECRETS.

Her summer tour will take her through the Northwest and North Dakota in July. She is currently looking for a PR agency to help promote the CD along the way. Meanwhile, the CD can be found on Itunes, Google Play, I Heart radio, Amazon and many other online stores and streaming facilities, including her website.

1- Whisky Kisses
This song started out as a bluegrass tune. A nice, edgy tune about domestic violence. It is inspired by one of my all-time favorite songs, "You'll Never leave Harlan Alive", sung by Patty Loveless. That song is so haunting and one day, I kept that vibe and went "all in" sort of speak. I was told by a publisher that if you are going to walk this line, you might as well dive in. So I don't sugar coat anything in this song. When I went into the studio to record it, I felt it would be best to change the meter and go "four on the floor", but it will always be my little bluegrass tune.

Both my cowriter and I instantly fell in love with this song when we put it all together. It's a dark and mysterious story told by the ghost of a girl! Every time someone hears this song, they call me a "Modern day Bobby Gentry". I like the sound of that! I would love to tell our writing process for this one! Let's set up an interview!

3- No Refunds, No Returns
This is a fun uptempo Miranda Lambert sounding song about getting revenge on a boyfriend. The girl in the story catches her boyfriend out with another girl and has no luck trying to auction him off! I think my cowriter and I went a little easy on him, lol!

4-I still Taste Your Love
This song has a soulful bluesy feel about missing someone you love. Jim and I call it the B side of our song "Right amount of wrong". I like to say that I was feeling my inner Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt, when we were writing the music.

5-Right Amount of Wrong
I'd like to say that no men were harmed during the making of this song, and a songwriter never reveals where they get their ideas! Ha! This is a sultry blues tune that will make many men blush and women imagine themselves in the song. With that being said, enjoy!

6-Nobody's Open
This song comes from a dear friend of mine who we lost due to a very rare form of cancer. He was a wonderful man and I really wanted to pay my respects to him, so I recorded one of his many, many tunes. This song, lyrically, fit the theme of the EP, so I chose it. Both Travis and I have a jazz background and his version is very jazzy, which is why I was drawn to it so much. I like to think I met somewhere in the middle, between jazz and country.
