Recording Artist Johnny Reed Launches New
Concept Album "ALTERNATE REALITY 7",
Takes Music Fans Where No Eye Can Follow!

"Alternate Reality 7", release date September 13, 2019, is singer/songwriter Johnny Reed's 7th solo Album. Johnny’s music takes over where Classic Rock left off and launches it into the future. You'll feel the presence of Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Queen, Elton John, CSN, David Bowie and even Hendrix, but the music is so unique, definitely quite enigmatic!

On this concept album, Johnny addresses the varied shades of alternate realities.
There is the reality of our lives, and then there are the alternate realities we can create. These are situations, physical or in our thoughts, where we can express who we really are, be free flowing and happy, despite the practical structured life that surrounds us. Whether it's with your mind, your clothes, hair, tattoos, piercing, sex, drugs, or through others, it's up to each of us to search and make our alternate realities happen.

By doing everything on the album, Johnny has control to express himself on several levels in every aspect of the music. Johnny plays all the instruments: guitars, drums, keyboards, & vocals and loves to get lost in the passions that each one of them creates in his songs. Johnny Reed produced the album 2018 – 2019, and recorded it in
THE MUSIC ROOM ® Studios in Redondo Beach, CA, USA.

In the past, Johnny has created many unique project experiences for major entertainment companies. Johnny was the Voice of King Kong in all merchandising for the Peter Jackson/Universal Pictures® film KING KONG. Johnny was a consultant to James Cameron on the film TITANIC, and on and on…

SUMMARY:
Following the same production technique as the Beatles, Johnny Reed’s music follows a free-moving artistic flow. The ten tracks on “The Johnny Reed Show: are diverse and emotional, with each one telling its own story. The free-form style and content makes the album a kind of rock anomaly, during which there is no eye to follow.

BODY:
Redondo Beach, California, January 28, 2014 - Performing under made-up alter egos, (Evan Chuley on bass, Justin Case on guitar, and Mia Ana on drums) The Johnny Reed Show is the latest album by multi-instrumentalist Johnny Reed. Reed supplies all of the instrumentals, vocals, and engineering. The effort and sheer workload poured into the album puts Reed striving for the forefront of the DIY musician movement.

Intended to showcase his artistic talents and promote his new musical direction, the “Johnny Reed Show” is the latest in Johnny Reed’s artistic dedication. It is also a testament to his knack for storytelling and ability to engineer & produce a diverse set of instrumental arrangements. While each track is recognizable as Reed’s, each one takes its own avenue and possesses a one-of-a-kind sound.

Recorded at the Music Room Studio in Redondo Beach, the ten tracks were sequenced as a complete album listening experience, from the Beatle-ish “Take Another Road”, to the ending track a Pink Floyd-ish "Its Gonna Be Alright". The album's artwork, illustrated by Reed himself, demonstrates his humor and gives you a hint of what's going on inside the artist. Using classic instruments like a 1965 Fender Telecaster, 1965 Ludwig Drums & Takamine 12 string guitar, each of songs individual sounds come together perfectly to create a reflection of Reed’s propensity toward his unbounded artistic expressions.

Currently in the process of recording a new album, ACT 2.

The New CD is out! "The Johnny Reed Show ", released March 20, 2013.
"THE JOHNNY REED SHOW" is a solo CD. Johnny played all the guitars, keyboards & drums and does all the vocals.

This was one of the most demanding projects he's put out, and he's really broken through to some new artistic ground by doing it.
The Songs clearly show the influences from Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Crosby Stills & Nash. Johnny Reed produced this project over 2012 and into 2013 using several vintage instruments: '69 Fender Telecaster.'74 Takamine acoustic, '70 Ventura Bass & '65 Ludwig Drums to capture the feel and sound of classic rock LPs.
