Biography

Jason Deutsch was born and raised in the North Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The blue son of a mother from the south, Jason’s family roots and influences run throughout the Appalachian Mountain Range and Ohio Valley.

As a boy Jason’s parents exposed him to countless music genres and opportunities, but it wasn’t until his 20's that he developed his voice. Jason cut his teeth in various alternative rock bands, touring regionally through Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey before he eventually settled into his roots and influences. He hit the reset button on his career, began working with his current drummer Rich Bradford and together they developed a sound that can be best described as Appalachian Americana.

Jason’s best work came at the hands of Producer Randy Kohrs. The latest single - American Dream - highlight Jason’s unique style of story telling and the impeccable production at Slack Key Studio. This single features artists such as Randy Kohrs, Josh Shilling, Angela Primm, Gale Mayes, Scott Vinson and the Bradford brothers Rich and Matt.

Jason has opened for Johnny Winter, Eilen Jewell, Jay Buchanan, Whitehorse, Danny Aiello, Josh Kelley, Marc Broussard and others. Tour dates and appearances will be announced after the release of his upcoming album.
