That Other World

That Other World

Kinda fun watching the world turn upside down
Gonna grab my ol guitar, sit down and write a song
Turn it up a notch and find that grooving sound
Watch the dancers spin their partners round and round

I’ll pick up where you left off to that other place
Hold my head up high after all we’re the human race
Believe in all I got, it’s more than a pretty girl
Chasing dreams down a one-way street to that other world

A cowboy’s dream, broke-in boots and wheels on fire
Tear stains on the window of your streetcar named desire
Why they put mirrors on a diner wall I’ll never know
Reflections of that other world, I’ll never go
