Brother to Brother

The song was Written for a DJ friend of mine who lost his youngest brother in a motorcycle accident. After watching his face book posts in the time after he lost his brother, I was concerned about some of the things he was saying. I decided to reach out to Dee and after a long conversation, he ask me why I wrote the lyrics to his favorite song, Long Dark Road. toward the end of our conversation he said, "I want you to write a song for me and my brother". I was taken a little by surprise, but reluctantly said I would. I said this might take me a while. He said, I don't care. I think he forgot about it, and 6 months later I sent him an acoustic demo of the song. He loved it, which was important to me considering the sensitivity of the content. We still speak often and he continues to remind me of how much he thought of the song.
