Long Dark Road
Long Dark Road

Well I never been to Cleveland, I hear the weathers' nice in spring
But I've been to Minnesota, Man the winters there are mean
Oh it's a long cold lonesome road now, just a little north of Aims
Just a half a mile from Spokane, think i'll cruise up Lake Chelan
And sit on top a mountain, reminisce the miles I've seen

Lord it looks like rain and I swear I can hear the thunder
The sky is beginning to grey as I look on down from under
I think about where I have been, I don't know where I will be tomorrow
Lord please take me by the hand as I try to find my way back home
Cause it's a long dark road where I've been, and I aint never going back again
I'll be waiting there at the end hoping you'll come along
it's a long dark road where I've been, and I aint never going back again
I'll be waiting there at the end hoping you'll come along

Through all those years I failed to see, what it was that was so wrong
There were times I was so restless
Other times I was so strong
Just over the horizon, there an angel stands alone
On the other side lies easy street, where temptation is so strong
If you look across your shoulder, and you don't like where you've been
You better get on down the road boy, never looking back again

Lord it looks like rain and I swear I can hear the thunder
The sky is beginning to grey as I look on down from under
I think about where I have been, I don't know where I will be tomorrow
Lord take me by the hand as I try to find my way back home
Cause it's a long dark road where I've been, and I aint never going back again
I'll be waiting there at the end hoping you'll come along
it's a long dark road where I've been, and I aint never going back again
I'll be waiting there at the end hoping you'll come along
Hoping you'll come along
