On That Train To Memphis
On that Train to Memphis

Little Miss Lollipop why you always blow your top
Every time I come in late
Me and the boys have been out playing Johnny Be Good
No lipstick on my collar no two dollar bills
Just playing our music and getting a thrill
You scream and shout like I knew you would

You know I’ve always been a dreamer
You always start up a fight.
I’m dreaming of playing my music to a different crowd every night
So I left that woman out in San Antone, told her I had gone to Walk The Dog
But I was on that train to Memphis with a blues guitar in my hand
She was a running and a screaming at the train as it was leaving
As the train was a pulling down the tracks
I was on that train to Memphis, I aint looking back no more
The train it was a leaving by the time she stop believing I was coming back
When I went out to walk the dog

Little Miss Potty Mouth always got to cuss and shout
A bar of soap would do you good
I’ve never heard language like that from a woman before
The dog was in a frenzy and I was kind of busy
Trying to Mime my way through the door
When I seen that dog was the escape I was looking for

You know I’ve always been a dreamer
You always start up a fight.
I’m dreaming of playing my music to a different crowd every night
So I left that woman out in San Antone, told her I had gone to Walk The Dog
But I was on that train to Memphis with a blues guitar in my hand
She was a running and a screaming at the train as it was leaving
as the train was a pulling down the track
I was on that train to Memphis, I aint looking back no more
The train it was a leaving by the time she stop believing I was coming back

I was on that train to Memphis
on that train to Memphis
on that train to Memphis
on that train to Memphis
