“NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED AT THE BIGGEST MOTORCYCLE CONCERT IN THE WORLD”
On August 7th at The Legendary Buffalo Chip, in Sturgis SD while opening for The Dobbie Brothers, Jimmie Bratcher will be releasing his 8th album titled, This is Blues Country. This is Blues Country is a collection of classic country songs done in blues/rock style. From the hard hitting Hank Williams “Honky Tonk Blues” to the soulful ballet by Carl Belew/Jim Reeves “Am I That Easy To Forget”, this album will take you back to the country music that started it all with a funky blues twist.
This is Blues Country brings Bratcher back to his roots as a young guitarist who owned both Jimi Hendrix’ Axis Bold As Love and Johnny Cash’s At Folsom Prison. “Recording blues-based versions of classic country songs makes perfect sense as, blues and country retain a strong connection to each other. Blues and Country are both about the day-to-day struggles of hard-working people.” Bratcher’s own story contains enough material for a boxed set of blues and country tunes, and is the source of the authenticity that fuels the performances on This Is Blues Country—which might have just as easily been called This Is Jimmie Bratcher Country.
Live, Jimmie always gives lightning-strike performances that crackle with high-voltage guitar playing and emotionally charged vocals making the hairs rise on the arms of the crowds he entertains in the map of clubs, festivals, bike rallies, churches and prisons that he calls “the road.”
