Big Mavis Music is more than a record label: it's a good old fashioned musical family.

We love our artists. We love the music we make together. We love the recording engineers and session players that bring the music to life.
We believe that we have something magical brewing in our tiny little corner of the world, and we hope you will agree.

Some of the best and brightest South Carolina based musicians and songwriters call Big Mavis home: Stephanie Fagan, James Scott Bullard & The Late Night Sweethearts, and Rebecca Morning to name a few...and the list is growing. Our artists all belong to the “Americana” genre: roots rock n' roll, folk, traditional & outlaw country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, soul and other traditional American musical styles. Most marry multiple genres in really creative and exciting ways.

Big Mavis is different because we focus exclusively on the cultivation and promotion of South Carolina musicians and songwriters. All of the music we release is written, recorded, and produced from our home base in Florence, SC. We believe great music is crafted, not manufactured. We favor substance over the latest trends. We value quality songwriting and musicianship above all else. Our songwriters and musicians bare their souls and tell the truth with every delicious note.

You may not know our artists yet, but they have already gathered a passionate following all around the world. Our roster has received press, radio airplay, and critical acclaim both locally and abroad in dozens of other countries including The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, and New Zealand. They have charted, been interviewed by celebrities, and recognized with awards and honors.
