Chorus) Carolina, Carolina Blue...Carolina, Carolina Blue...Carolina, Carolina Blue was the sky, Carolina Blue were her eyes...

I drove through Charlotte, headed for Boone, stopped by at Merlefest, and played them my tunes....
She served me breakfast, along with a smile...we toured the stages, talked for awhile...
She said her marriage had, fallen apart, she kissed me tender, gave me her heart...
Our days were magic, our nights so long, but I was scheduled....had to move on...

Carolina....Carolina Blue...(Chorus)

Her letters called me, back to her arms, but I never answered, took no alarm...
Then she stopped writin', was I the fool? Squandered her true love, by playin' it so cool!

Carolina....Carolina Blue..(Chorus)

I dreamed I saw her, at a late show. She said she still loved me...
That I oughta know...
I dialed her number, fast as I could, We're still together, ain't this love good!

Carolina....Carolina Blue...(Chorus)
