You Know You Really Got the Blues

Although the recording of this song contains a lot of slide guitar work, the inspiration for the form comes from the Bessie Smith jazz/blues era, which is often neglected by current blues lovers. I love that era and the complex chord structures and intricate word play. This song is my attempt to capture some of that compostitional feeling while surrounding it in a more blues rock kind of arrangement.
