Q & A With BOSS BAY
Q: Tell us about your music. What are some of your latest tracks?
A: "The name of my single is Really Boss, it has a lot of swag and catchy lyrics. My "banger" Badd is song catering to the ladies but the fellas can feel it also. Wazoo is an edgy, street, get money, club banger. DreamChaser is pretty self explanatory in which I give inspiration & motivation. I feel all my songs have lyrical content & creativeness with substance."
Q: Have you gotten any airplay on these songs?
A: "My single has been featured & played on Hot 107.1 & K97 in Memphis TN, my residence. I also recieved spins in my home state, Alabama, on 95.7 Jamz. My single was recently broken in Chicago at Power 92. I was also featured in Soul Essence Magazine in the Aug/Sept. Edition."
Q: That's really good. Have you performed on stage?
A: "I have opened up for artist in the past such as Wale & Travis Porter. I've done shows & showcases in states such as Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, & Chicago."
Q: What about your most recent show events?
A: "I auditioned for Rocnation in mid January. I did very well so I proceeded to their event. The director of A&R, Omar Grant, was present to judge with others. I did great & my name was called 1st to do business & become on the radar for deliberation. Also, in January, I was selected to be on 1 of the biggest tours coming in May of this year! The Urock tour is a 15-20 city tour, where I'll have the priviledge to perform in 6-10 cities. The headliners are going to be T.I., Big Sean, Wale and more. In February I was invited to a Big Cat event in Chicago. I performed at Club Adriannnas, did great & talked to the President of Big Cat records afterwards. While I was there, I was interviewed on Power 92 and my single was played as well. I recieved great feedback from people in the streets and the local-club DJs. So the trip was a success."
Q: Great. When did you last perform in Memphis?
A: "My most recent show in Memphis was at the Ice Bar, where I performed for the Urock promo tour, in which Robert Curry from Day 26 & the head of the Urock tour, Damont was present. I recieved great feedback from them as well."
Q: Wow! How do you stay motivated and focused as a new Artist?
A: "Basically I keep God 1st & grind hard."
