Fields Of Green

The lyrics for this song were inspired by my mentors: Sting and Bruce Hornsby. Sting has his Fields of Gold and Bruce has his Fields of Gray, and I was thinking about their songs and wrote these lyrics around this time that I am volunteering at a local hospice.

The imagery in the song highlights what I believe would be a man nearing the end of his life but remembering the true love he endured with his wife of many years. I really felt we captured that mood in Fields of Green and hope all listening will feel the same.
