Forever

Last night I was tired
So tired from the day
I laid my head down to sleep
With little time to pray

The next thing I knew
I felt warmth in my soul
For all I had hoped for
Appeared to me in droves

So what you call Forever
Is just what you feel
Your thoughts and dreams
Make up that world
Now you know they’re real, Forever…

I saw each one of us
Soaked in glorious light
From rainbows of gold
Shining on spheres of white

More masterful than that
Was the gleam in our smile
Knowing we found the truth
As we trekked so many miles

In the morning I recall
That most powerful dream
And make up the prayers
I missed last evening
