Biography
CESARE CARUGI was born in Cecina, Tuscany, Italy, on 1978. He started playing guitar on 1994, after he fell in love with rock, folk and country music, musically influenced by Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen and Gram Parsons.

After a long apprenticeship, and many shows in local clubs, performing original songs alternating with songs by Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Springsteen, Neil Young and others, Cesare began to expand his musical horizons and cross the borders of his town, playing in northern Italy at the Townes Van Zandt Festival in Como (with Eric Taylor, Pete Ross and a bunch of Italian artists), or at the Titan Country Night in San Marino.

He began to work on a 6-tracks EP on January 2010. “Open 24 Hrs” came out on November 2010. In the track list, 4 original songs (1 of them in two versions) and a personal version of “Open All Night” by Bruce Springsteen. It was well appreciated as a debut album, even if it was a small work anyway, recorded at home and with very cheap stuff.
In January 2011 he began to word on his first full length album, “Here’s To The Road”, inspired by the American travels he did, from Memphis to Nashville, from New York to Las Vegas, from Chicago to St. Louis. In the new record he invited legendary Chicago singer-songwriter Michael McDermott to sing with him, and Italian musicians and friends as well. “Here’s To The Road” is a bunch of stories about endless highways and dark alleys, small towns and asphalt jungles, saints and demons.
He had very good reviews from italian magazines, websites and blogs, and from US and UK too, on sites like No Depression, Leicester Bangs and Americana-UK.
