Papaw's Swing

This song is about finding a little place in your life or your mind to go to in times of trouble. My friend Jeanne and I wrote it after comparing notes and realizing that the treasured swing hanging on her front porch at her childhood home was made by my Papaw Jesse Mullins. I still have one of his swings hanging in my home, as well as shelves and tables. With only a 6th grade education, he was a skilled and creative pipefitter and wood worker. He was very proud of his accomplishments and would have been SO proud of this song.
