God's Love

The lyrics of this song were originally written to the melody of Bette Midler's popular tune, "Wind Beneath My Wings". Eventually, I changed the melody to my own. Let me tell you, it took awhile to get this done. As a matter of fact, I would sing it in bits and pieces into a small tape recorder as I was driving on the road. There was a lot of trial and error. When it was finally completed to my satisfaction, I had to learn it from start to finish by repeatedly listening to it. That sounds strange, I'm sure, but that's the way I do it for some of these songs. I'll start out with someone else's melody, write my own lyrics, and then eventually change the melody into my own original tune. When I use a public domain song's melody, all I have to do is write the lyrics.
