Biography

Elyse Saunders is a fresh young recording artist from Peterborough, Ontario and is rapidly making her mark on the country music scene. From early in her career Elyse surrounded herself with people she could trust and that shared her passion for country music. Elyse has often referred to herself as just a typical small town girl with a dream and a musical passion. To pass her on the street, that is exactly what she would appear to be but to look deeper and listen to her performances, she far exceeds that "small town girl" picture. The emotions and feelings she pours into her songs are deeply rooted and come from a heart that's mature way beyond her years. You also hear this in her debut album - simply titled - ELYSE SAUNDERS. The completed project is the result of some amazing support and collaboration from some of the most talented in country music today.

She is unwavering in her pursuit to perfect her music and dedicated over a year of searching for just the right producer, musicians and songs that would showcase the rich soulful feel and tone of her voice. The songs she picked would be a part of her life, so they had to be ones she believed in to deliver that raw emotional connection to her listeners. In listening to her songs you begin to believe what Elyse believes. Her performance on every song truly comes from her heart and as a listener, you find yourself in that rare experience of living every song right along with her.

The summer of 2009 was a busy year for Elyse as she promoted the release of her album. From being able to be part of the amazing Fan Fair in Nashville; the featured act at the esteemed Festival of Lights concert series in Peterborough where she received 5000 of her own fans, more shows and then finishing up the summer visiting radio for on-air interviews and meeting music directors throughout Ontario. She proved to be driven.

Not only has she been successful with her 3 radio singles; Nobody's Watchin', Bittersweet and More of That but she's also been getting much attention from the internet where she's been busy promoting her music on some of the top sites like Myspace, Ourstage, Facebook, CMT and more. From this she's received CD reviews, been on radio shows, and interviews from people all over the world. Not only that, she reached top ten on the "Country Ourstage Charts" numerous times with a result of reaching #1 with her song "Bittersweet." A big feat for an artist who won solely on fans and music lovers voting. Elyse is becoming an internet sensation!

Summer of 2010 is going to be another bright year for Elyse as she's been busy writing some of her own material and preparing to release another single to radio. She hopes to follow this release with a music video, radio interviews and shows throughout Ontario and more.
