Coffee Stained Thank You Cards
Coffee Stained Thank You Cards

All those coffee stained thank you cards
That never got sent
I put em’ in a box
I dug a hole in the yard
Behind the fence
And buried em’ with the dog
But I swear last night that I heard zombies at the door
Saying “You’re welcome very much” in a sarcastic tone

Translucent, blurry shapes, a vague sound of cries
I said “You win! You win!”

There’s nowhere to hide
You can’t run from yourself
There’s no escape from the inside
You’re buried by the bell

There’s nowhere to hide
You can’t run from yourself
There’s no escape from the inside
You’re buried by the bell
