Biography
Hamish was first promoted by Deuce in March 2010 after completing his debut album Iggdrasil, which introduces listeners to his very own unique and distinctive style of sound called ‘Shed Music’. This resulted in a large number of radio stations broadcasting tracks from the album as well as invitations to perform on local FM and BBC radio stations too.
Festival performances have also played a large part in Hamish’s musical career to date, with appearances at Solfest and the Big Chill, not forgetting his infamous gig at the climate camp protest site at Bishopsgate, where the PA was powered by a bicycle, and his set continued while the police forcefully dispersed everyone…. On top of all this, Hamish also shared the bill with Phoenix Williams in January at a gig live from the Deuce offices and broadcast on webcam over the Internet for the world to see. The popularity of the night saw the servers’ crash, preventing a large number of fans from watching the gig. Fortunately, you will all have the opportunity to see Hamish Meaney perform live again when a number of dates around the UK will shortly be announced.
