New milestone in Estonian heavy-metal – Herald releases their new album „Gaia“

1st of December 2010 is a day which will be written in the annals of Estonian Heavy Metal, as Herald has released their second full length album “Gaia”. Herald has worked on this album for the last 6 months and finally it is released. “Gaia” features 12 tracks including already published singles “Tuline teras” and “Anna tulla”. On this record one can find also primal chant “Gaia”, heavily hacking “Kõrbesurm” and “Hevilihas”, faster tracks like “Kauged linnad”, “Tormiratsanikud” and “Teadmata tund”, slightly mellower “Ärkamine” and “Amanita” and some thrash-fuel “Veele, veele!”. Band has remained loyal to its fans and Herald’s musical style can be simply described as heavy-metal. Overall message of the band is prophetic covering subjects form this world to the other side: futile Man against ancient forces of the Nature.

The new album is more dynamic and diverse compared to the older material. Also this time the lyrics are in Estonian language only, giving an exotic touch to non-Estonian listeners. Herald’s new album “Gaia” will also be digitally distributed globally in such net stores as iTunes, Amazon MP3, Last.fm, MySpace, Napster, Rhapsody, Spotify, Tesco etc – altogether in more than 20 places.

„Gaia“ is tracked and mixed in „Music Works“ studio by Arne Holm and mastered in „Studio Kuu“ studio by Jaakko Viitalähde. Album is produced by Arne Holm and Herald. CD is distributed by Besat Records.
