"Ride On"
RIDE ON
By Jean Cabbie & The Secret Admirer Society

You can cry if you want to, leave your friends behind
After all you will be forgiven.
You can pray if you like to, it will help you understand
All the fun you once believed in.

Now’s the time to abide for, let it come to show at last
Happiness’s a step away.

Ride on to a place where your soul won’t be denied
Ride on; somewhere else where I’ll finally see you smile
Ride on from your tears as they always leave a trace
Ride on, shed your fears and never look back again.

You can fight if you desire to, leave up to your own designs
As long as your will permits it.
You might care if you try to, feel the end at hand
Make amends for being conceited.

Hope you have the strength to let me hear you say:
“All the troubles to be faced today could mean nothing if they’re left apart.”
Wonder now are you bold enough, ride on, ride on,
Ride on from days gone by.

You can cry if you want to, leave your friends behind
You may hide if you like to even though you’ll lose your mind.
You may pray if you want to, maybe help you understand
You desire, I still hope for true love of a certain kind.
It is too soon to say…
You can cry if you want to, leave your friends behind
You may hide if you like to even though you’ll lose your mind…Ride On.
