(February 25th, 2014) - Indiana Bluegrass duo Jim and Lynna Woolsey announce their upcoming performance March 9th at Willie’s Locally Known Restaurant in Lexington. The Willie’s show kicks off their album tour, in support of the March 1st release of their new single, “Rude Jenne,” and March 29th release of their new bluegrass album, “The Road That Brings You Home.” Their debut album features 12 fresh, original tracks including “Rude Jenne,” and “Will You Be Ready,” co-produced by GRAMMY-Award Winning Producer/Engineer Randy Kohrs and Mike Sumner.Randy Kohrs is proud to introduce this husband and wife songwriting team to the bluegrass and roots music scene. “Jim and Lynna Woolsey have made a beautiful recording. Debuting their thoughts, family stories, honest emotions, true grit and heart, they tell the tales a few minutes at a time. A few minutes is all it takes to fall in love with their music.” Kohrs and Sumner are featured on the album (dobro/guitar/harmony vocals, banjo, respectively), along with GRAMMY-Award Winner Clay Hess (mandolin), Tim Crouch (fiddle), and Mark Fain (bass).As a single act or in a band, Jim has shared the stage with acts like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Andy Williams, and Marty Robbins, and appeared on You Can Be a Star. Both Jim and Lynna have won various bluegrass awards for Old Time Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin as well as many band titles. In 2002 and 2003, their band Fields of Home won first place in the Indiana Picking and Fiddling Contest. Jim and Lynna have performed together at the Bluebird Café in Nashville and Goldie's Opera House in Owensboro. They also won the Kentucky Fried Chicken Talent Hunt in 1989. The single “Rude Jenne” will be available on iTunes Saturday, March 1st.
