John Lindberg Trio - Straight From The Heart (2017):

A long journey
JLT has been one of the hardest working band’s in Sweden for years.
They’ve played every single rock venue worthy of the name in the country, if there’s a stage & electric power is available, they’ve most likely been there!

A long journey has taken place since John at age thirteen started travelling the Swedish countryside of Dalecarlia with his guitar performing raw and pure Rockabilly. When teaming up with Joakim Dunker on drums & Martin Engström on upright bass it all fell into place and the JLT sound started to develop. This powerhouse-trio has taken Sweden by storm.

Four albums top 5 on the albumchart
Since 2006 they have released 7 albums off wich the last 4 albums have all entered the Swedish albumchart at top 5 & their fanbase is increasing week by week.
They are never afraid to experiment with whatever influences they come across.
As a result JLT has created an outstanding signature sound of their own.

Per Gessle & Marti Brom
Their 7:th album “DiG iT” was released in May 2014 and entered the Swedish albumchart at #5, all three singles from the album was added by national radio in Sweden. On this album they also collaborated with other composers, for instance Per Gessle from Roxette took a liking to the band and gave them a song that they then reworked together. “DiG iT” also features a guest appereance by the great US Americana artist Marti Brom.

Time for change
During 2015 Martin, the bassplayer announced that he’d need to leave the band and an intense search for a new bassplayer took place, they didn’t have to search for long as Nathanael Marcusson was picked up on the radar. After a few rehearsals and a testgig the matter was settled and he is by now an integrated part of the band. Ready to take JLT to the next level!

Straight From The Heart
As a result the band also got an injection as Nathanaels presence brought new energy to the band and almost immediately new songs came from John’s pen. They had their first studio session very soon after Nathanel joined the band. And spending hours and days in a studio making a record is a surefire way to put relations to the test and creating bonds that is hard to achive otherwise.

Early on it was decided that the album “Straight From The Heart” would be an all analog recording, using the 24-track Studer tape-machine in the Enviken studio to the fullest and only utilize analog delays and reverbs.
It’s not the easy way but it proved to be the right way!

This is a strong rock album that really incorporates all the influences and inspiration JLT has gathered over the years. It got the driving guitars, the groove from the slap-bass, solid hard hittin’ drums and on top of that excellent vocals.
In April 2017 “Straight From The Heart” entered the Swedish albumchart at #10 !
It may be hard to pinpoint JLT’s music but whatever you prefer to call it you know it’s gonna ROCK!
High-octane boost
JLT’s live performance is an energetic high-octane boost and no matter where they play JLT ends up being the talk of the town. This is a tight & hardrockin’ unit. Be sure not to miss them when they hit your town!
