This Heart This Season
This Heart This Season
Written by Bruce Wing/Judy Wing 2008
Soft morning conversation, looking at our toes
We share a cup of coffee and a closet full of clothes
This sweet integration of lives and memories
Brings new inspiration to this heart in this season
The waking days of spring time
Summer nights of stars, the changing moods of autumn
And these winter nights so warm
This pure instigation to know you more
Brings deep hope and healing to this heart in this season
But it’s too late, that’s what I told myself and it’s too far
And I’m too old for that, and it’s too much
I’ll just have to give it back
But it’s too sweet to ever live without.
So now we’re doing dishes, and folding up our clothes
You’re parked in my driveway and everybody knows
This new revelation of what could be brings new inspiration
To this heart in this season.
