LAURA KOONJEAN – DEBUT ALBUM ‘SONGS THE BEDROOM WROTE’ – RELEASE DATE: 28 MAY 09
Following the buzz surrounding her single more to life than this, London based singer-songwriter Laura Koonjean presents her stunning debut album, songs the bedroom wrote. Packed with catchy, radio-friendly melodies, her heartfelt lyrics examine love, life and the universe.
The concept for the album evolved mainly from her round-the-world trip in 2008 and working for a homeless charity in the back streets of Moorgate. The songs flowed from these inspirational experiences.

Songs the bedroom wrote – a sideways look at love that will resonate with anyone who could not find the right words at the right time to express those tender feelings.
Talk on corners – a soulful, guitar led song, borne out of conversations with inspirational people in California
Little gems – a summery, love song
The 3 minute song – a fun, catchy, feel-good pop song perfect for the radio
And of course the successful single, more to life than this - a thought-provoking, melodic song for those searching beyond the daily grind.
This album was produced by Hanif Williams, who has worked with major artists including Sting. He has refined Laura’s musical identity and together they have created a clean, unique, soulful sound.
The musicians involved in this project have an impressive range of experience between them, having worked with successful acts such as Monrose, Heaven 17 and 100 Hours. The album is due for release on 28 May 09 and will be available on digital download and CD.
