Biography

A product of Lubbock Texas, Logan Taylor & The Thunderbirds are an Texas Alt Country group with roots in Americana, blues, folk-rock, country and bluegrass. The band was formed 2 years ago, and have been paying there dues playing every gig possible to gear up to promote their debut self-titled CD.
Songwriter Logan Taylor has been saturated in rock n roll and country music for as long as he can remember. He recalls laying up in bed as a youngster while his room vibrated from the overdriven amplifiers and heartbeat kick drum, coming from his father’s classic rock band in the shop. As years past he found himself slowly being pulled toward the only thing that feeds his soul to this day, writing and performing. Taylor cut his teeth playing singer songwriter nights in the Honkey Tonks of Clovis NM. Later, he landed a gig playing lead guitar with Kene Terry & The Bourbon Cowboys, who taught Taylor the ins and outs of the business. Now studying the craft of commercial music along with his other bandmates at South Plains College, the Thunderbirds are constantly evolving their sound and perfecting their instruments and loving every minute of it.
Now promoting their debut self- titled album and singles “Seventeen” and “Runaway”, the Thunderbirds definitely have something to be proud of. Capturing the flexibility of their sound and heart felt songwriting, this truckin album can take you up and drop you down like a long roller coaster ride. Recorded with Tim Vernon and produced by Logan Taylor. This album is set to put them on the map with the rest of the great Texas artists, but standing out with their own original spin and sound on the Texas Country/Americana scene.
