Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band - Press Release - Feb. 8 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARK STONE AND THE DIRTY COUNTRY BAND TO RELEASE NEW EP THIS APRIL

On Saturday, April 1, Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band will release their latest studio endeavor, a compelling new EP entitled ‘Trifecta.’ The aptly-titled collection of songs will mark the band’s third release since its inception in 2012 as Stone’s own solo project. A release party is scheduled in Minneapolis the day of the EP’s debut.

Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band previously released a self-titled debut EP that was primarily performed by Stone, which was met in the music community to notable acclaim, even scoring Stone a nomination at the I Love Music Awards for the song ‘Drink the Pain Away.’ In January 2015, Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band released the full album 'The Sequel,' which was heralded by the Austin Chronicle as "what a honky tonk bar brawl between Skynyrd, The Eagles, and Alice in Chains would sound like." More recently, however, Stone has taken the band on the road and filled its positions with Todd Jameson on bass and Johnny Strutt on drums.

Since the band has begun performing live on a regular basis, they’ve taken the stage at venues like SXSW and the Moondance Jammin Country Fest. They’ve quickly become one of the premier country rock acts in the indie scene, so much so that they were selected as one of eight bands to perform in the Hard Rock Rising Midwest Regional Battle of the Bands. (The competition fielded over 1,000 entries.)

Moving forward, Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band are continuing to blaze a trail forward as one of the most exciting country rock acts around. ‘Trifecta’ was recorded at Undertone Studios Inc. with Tom Hambleton, the “Minister of Fancy Noises.” On April 1, the band will celebrate the release at Mayslacks in NE Minneapolis. The album will be distributed via Ditto Music to all major digital music platforms alongside physical copies available at the release party.
