Down The Road
Down the Road

Down the road there’s a dusty old town
Nothing being built, nothing burning down

Down the hill, there’s a river of city lights
From up here they look like diamonds, tossed out in the night

I know I haven’t seen it all, I know I never will
I know that I’ll die wondering what’s over that next hill
Down the road

One more raging sunset, full moon on the sea
There’s always something out there
Down the road that’s calling me

Down the road there’s a field of wildflowers
With sunlight streaming in behind a cool summer shower

I don’t know where I’m going, I don’t know if I’ll stay
I only hope I find it before I slip away
Down the road

One more raging sunset…
