Did you have butterflies in your eyes
when you opened them
until you realized to your surprise
you were hypnotized?
How could you think that she was the one?
Its hard to mistake the moon for the sun

Was the light so bright in the dark of night
that you lost your sight?
Did you feel the pain, turn away and then
fly right back again
Did you still believe that she was the one
as you watched her leave in the cold morning sun?

Did you have butterflies in your eyes

And now the moths are gone with the light of dawn
