Pete bumped into Woody at a house party in Los Angeles in 1951, coincidentally the first time Pete ever met the great folk/blues singer Odetta. Woody improvised "patriotic" lyrics to a traditional Irish tune: "I will point a gun for my country/But I won't guarantee you which way." That was Woody.
