Open Mind
Open Mind
Raimundo Rodulfo

Waves that travelled for years through the stars
Told us stories of those who survived
After too many attempts
It’s their last call for help

More than six billion minds on their own
And they said that each one was a world
Why would all be the same?
Why could they never change?

In our quest to their past for a few years
All we found were the ash and the dust
Were they fighting with hope all their fears?
When the things turned around did they stand or hide?
Think with an open mind

Flashes, mushrooms, they were feared the most
Broken glasses, tattoos in their souls
Even when things got worse
They still dreamed and made love

Old codes antagonized younger minds
Old times will always be better times
Everyone had the truth
And the rest had no clue

In our quest to their past for a few years
All we got were more questions and doubts
Did they care for the life in their sphere?
When the things turned around did they move or cry?
Think with an open mind,
Think with an open mind

They once tried to understand that they are different
But in essence they are all the same
Since they failed to respect every other,
Did they find the light that would open their minds to different views
And bring the peace to their lives?

Scientists, artists, great leaders, good souls
Worked so hard bringing back what they lost
They lacked more of their kind:
Thinkers with open minds

More than six billion minds on their own
We wish they could preserve what they loved
We’ve just started to send
Our world’s own call for help

In our quest to their past for a few years
We have learned from their pain and their loss
If we are fighting with hope all our fears
When the things turn around will we live or die?
Think with an open mind,
Think with an open mind,
Think with an open mind
