Shade moves through styles with emotion, conviction and passion, melodically suggesting fresh moods and ideas. Influenced by great songwriters such as Stevie Wonder, Ricki Lee Jones,Joni Mitchell, The Isley Bros and many more. Shade tends to lean towards an acoustic style of expression using her voice and guitar. Her experience has ranged from recording sessions, to television radio and live concerts where she has backed the likes of Sting, All Saints, Mica Paris,Take That, Diana Ross,Deniece Williams, P diddy,Lulu, Shane Richie, Meatloaf,Yazz, David & Carrie Grant,Lcgc, Lemar, Micheal Ball, She also represented the Uk in the 2002 Eurovision contest backing Jessica Garlick, and is currently a member of Lenny Henry's band 'Poor White Trash and The Little Big Horns. With determination and a strong belief in her songs ,voice and performance shade continues to write grow and develop. She plays guitar and is currently learning the piano, she has also ventured into the area of production.
