"The Country Site" Interview
RCD: How long have you been singing?
SM: I have been singing since I was 6 years old in school choir, church, my grandpa’s band and now professional.
RCD: What did you do before you went into singing? Is there any other thing you’d enjoy as much?
SM: I worked several jobs prior to my music career from Food Service, Grocery Store, Bank Teller, U.S. Air Force and there is nothing I would want to do in life other than Sing and Perform.
RCD: Where does songwriting lie in your music? Do you write everything?
SM: I am more of a performer/singer than a songwriter, so I get several submissions from great songwriters in Nashville and around the country.
RCD: Lets get to know you.. Besides music, what is most important to you?
SM: I have several things that I value in life from Family, Friends and God. I work with several nonprofit organizations and love to help as much as I can with my music.
RCD: What accomplishments have you had this far in life that you are most proud?
SM: I have two great kids and I served my Country in the U.S. Air Force. And now I have made my career in Country Music and able to do what I love most.
RCD. What does your day consist of If you aren’t performing?
SM: My days usually consist of listening to submitted songs, updating my fans on Facebook and Twitter and working on my website.
RCD: If you are performing, what should someone expect coming to your show for the first time?
SM: Anyone who comes to a live performance should be prepared for a great show and I love to interact with my fans as well. I will always come out into the audience and interact.
RCD: If there’s one song you’ve recorded that best exemplifies your music as a whole, which song is it?
SM: I believe that if I had to choose one song that would be “I’m Getting Gone”.
RCD: Do you have a place that you perform where you KNOW the show is going to blow the roof off?
SM: I always hope that no matter where I perform I am gonna BLOW THE ROOF OFF haha.
RCD: What do you want to say to anyone that hasn’t heard of you yet?
SM: I am true to my music and my fans! And I hope that after you hear my songs and see me perform live you will be a Fan for Life.
