This Morning Blues
THIS MORNING BLUES

Can I hold you just a little longer?

I know it’s time, but a night in June’s so short

That moonlit gaze spread our senses open

This morning blues set our senses straight

Don’t move, don’t let those sweet eyes open

And maybe time will let us be for now

And when the sun peers over the horizon

We’ll be gone, just like the morning dew

Cast adrift out on the darkness

With no North star to guide you

Lost and alone

But I’ll be there to find you

I’ll be there to guide you

Guide you home

And when the sun peers over the horizon

We’ll be gone, just like the morning dew

Cast adrift out on the darkness

With no North star to guide you

Lost and alone

But I’ll be there to find you

I’ll be there to guide you

Guide you home
