The Real Peter Pan
THE REAL PETER PAN

I’m sure that you’ve all heard about him, seen him at the movies

But there’s no way that you can know him quite as I know him

The little boy that won’t grow up

Passionate and fiery eyed

The real Peter Pan has rays around his eyes from laughter

And when he sets them off, I believe in ever after

He’s as shifting as the sea, running high or smooth and deep

He cries sometimes because he cares

The real Peter Pan has silver hair

And his wings are strong enough to hold him

As the wind takes him on its shoulders

When asked how he can navigate

He says, his lucky star lights the way

The real Peter Pan is brave enough to love completely

And he is from an island far away of raging beauty

As he offers me his hand

To take me to his Neverland

I squeeze it tight and say my prayers

But I’m not scared

Cause our wings are strong enough to hold us

As the wind takes us on its shoulders

The sky is blushing as am I

When we fly way too high

Sure, it’s a bumpy ride sometimes,
 Captain Hook must be defied

But hand in hand we will stand

Defending our Neverland

And our wings are strong enough to hold us

As the wind takes us on its shoulders

The sky is blushing as am I

When the waves are running high

Though just a boy, he’s quite a man

With silver hair, my Peter Pan
