Writer's Block
Writers Block
Verse 1:
Ever since I knew your name I’ve had
This prolific writers block
You’ve no idea what it is like to be so single subject locked
Sure I could write about the ocean or some beautiful sunrise
But it would always be in reference to the sparkle in your eyes
Chorus:
And this song just like all the others is about you
Yeah this song just like all the others is about you
Cause once you have seen the most
Beautiful thing
It makes it hard to write a mess about anything less
So this song just like all the others is about you
Verse 2:
Nothing can make you better like some good ole stormy weather
And like a river I used to think that trouble could refine
I’ve got stacks of notebooks full of hooks
And tunes but they’re all empty words
And I’d burn ‘em all to hold you close just one more time
Bridge: don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining
I’m just sitting here saying
That I haven’t always been this way
I used to be more diversified
Had war and politics on my mind
But lately love is all I’ve had to say
