"One of my very favorite Christmas scenes is the one of the baby Jesus just after He was born, there with His mother Mary....in a humble stable on that night in Bethlehem. In this song I attempted to paint a picture, with words, of the tiny baby asleep in His mother's arms. I hoped that the musical setting, based in a minor key, would help set an appropriate mood to tell the story."
