Award-winning Canadian supergroup The Western Swing Authority is a collaboration of some of Canada’s top studio and touring musicians who share a common love for classic Western Swing.
Fusing the traditional sound of Western Swing and roots music with familiar country and jazz standards and fresh “new classic” original material, this band will delight with sizzling instrumental numbers and lush vocals. The band’s love of this music is evident onstage and there is something for every music lover to enjoy.
Individual bios include multiple Canadian Country Music Awards, Juno nominations, and resumes that span from Gordon Lightfoot and Ian Tyson to George Canyon and Kellylee Evans.
In October of 2012 The Western Swing Authority released their sophomore album, “All Dolled Up,” which has garnered a steady series of excellent reviews, awards and nominations. “I’ve Got A Feeling,’” the second release from this album took home Best Americana Song from the 12th Annual Independent Music Awards.
