She is pretty like cotton candy
Sweet, pink and light
She is lovely in a retro beatnik style
That tickles and delights
She’s lovely, so lovely

She is rich like organic gardens
Pure, deep and true
She moves easy, almost breezy
Like a summer wind passing over you
She’s easy, so easy

But she’s stubborn like a mule
No telling what she won’t do for you

She creates like Pablo Picasso,
Michelangelo
Oh, how she sparkles in silver and turquoise
And tell-tale colors on her clothes
She sparkles, she shines

She is brave like an Indian warrior
Fighting for his land
A courageous graceful ballerina
She’s not afraid to take a stand
She’s graceful, she is grace

But she’s stubborn like a mule
No telling what she won’t do for you

She could be a circus performer
Riding bareback on Terbay
She holds his mane, and off they go
To ride the Pojoaque river bed today
She’s Carolyn, bold Carolyn

But she’s stubborn like a mule
No telling what that girl can’t do
