Wayne has been an awarded musician/songwriter and he plays guitar, bass, drums, piano, harmonica & sings his own songs. He is a Multi instrumentalist. Wayne has been around for quite a while, his songs have climbed the charts around the Internet too. Some to the number #1: spot more than once. Wayne's music has received some attention in the past and in some cases his compositions have been admired/favored. Some tunes have been played on some terrestrial radio stations and other media outlets as well. Wayne has collaborated with other fine capable and happening artists both online & off-line, and has played written some good quality music/songs with other artists. Most of the time the journey has been hard work in dishing out those catchy tunes that come equipped with an edge melody, structure and arrangement wise. Guess one can define Wayne's music as music that is melody driven, memorable, catchy, interesting, and these songs have a life.
In high school in band class Wayne studied the saxophone, and tuba but since may have forgotten some. Although he does play the harmonica too he learned to play a little drums, percussion, and has extended the passion to include a number of additional instruments. When Wayne has been inspired he worked quickly and hard to dish out whatever needed to come about. Growing up Wayne heard a huge amount of music from Classical, Country, Pop, R & B, Blues, Funk, Folk, Reggae, and so on. I think songs like "New kid in town", Slip Sliding Away", "Michelle", (Eagles, or the Beatles "if I feel", "Roxanne", "Heart of Gold", "She loves You", or Elvis's tune "It's now or never" were just a few favorites. Any good music was an inspiration. Including songs with no vocals, or even jazz. Loved jazz songs.
Wayne studied Accordion at first and then switched to guitar at a local music school. But a lot of experience came naturally, as Wayne taught him self to play. And of course playing with others also added to the stack of knowledge.
In the early years when the first Port-Studio came out Wayne used to record him self on tape, and practice a lot. Sometimes he even rented a studio to help move things along. Lots of songs were written. Lots of idea's came about. And the musical skills improved as well as the songwriting craft. There were times when he played in bands as an extra help along or an indie artist. There was some press back in the day. Probably lost now.
At a young age Wayne had access to lots of gear and he made great use of them all the time. He worked hard plugging away at the bass & guitar an these skills improved. In fact he started singing very young and those vocals improved too over time. The Bass guitar was a challenge, and he found out he had a natural talent to play it. He used these skills to help
fill in sometimes for some band for their projects or gigs.. And lead/rhythm guitar were also being utilized in interesting and amazing ways. Wayne took an interest in the way other musicians would use the guitar in colorful ways so he followed suite.
Lots of Wayne's music came from the heart, observing others, life experiences, and a desire to write a good quality song and un-fold a story. Once a songwriter or artist really gets into the meat of the craft challenges take place that should motivate them to improve. And later as the training wheels come off, that when Wayne noticed he the music was growing and being dished out naturally. Lots of people expect an instant financial reward.
I think the sharing the gifts with fans and other artists is where the heart of music is. They say it's a universal language. Over the years lots of songs have been written. It can be over whelming to really take in the amount of tunes that were written. But the beauty is the ones that really live a life of their own. As said earlier people have liked them for the most part and the feed back has been interesting.
Unconditional love - has climbed to number #1 more than once. And Guiding light has held the number #1 spot for over two years. And of course there are other tunes that have received great attention. Some of these songs were written from a very young age/teen years. A songwriter tells stories. The songs are not always about love. Learning to play/write different genres/styles of music provided more depth and widened the spectrum. Come and listen.
Over time Wayne has produced his own CD, mixed his own songs, and played a great deal of instruments in his songs. They have been out there. Thanks to all the fans and fell-ah artists. Wayne has been a support and received support from others as well. Some GREAT singers/songwriters too.
