I Want To Know (NY Funk Mix)

Wily Bo Walker's track 'I Want To Know (NY Funk Mix)' was released as a taster to the new album 'Moon Over Indigo' coming September 2015 and achieved global airplay as well as consideration for a Grammy in 2015.

The backing band on this track, and indeed most of the album, is Scandal (Patty Smyth’s band) featuring Keith Mack (Joe Cocker), Benjy King, Tom Welsch and Eran Asias.

Danny Flam’s own New York Brass feature on horns including the tenor saxophone of Ron Bertolet (Bobby Caldwell) and trumpet of Kenny Rampton (Wynton Marsalis/Mingus Big Band).

The track also features Cenovia Cummins' String Quartet (Keith Jarrett / Barbara Streisand) and the wonderful backing vocal arrangements of Kareña K.

I also have to make a special mention of Benjy King who played Piano and Hammond on this track (and a lot of the tracks on 'Moon Over Indigo'). A wonderfully talented musician who unfortunately died in an accident after these sessions. A real tragedy and I know he is sorely missed.
