Formed in Nashville, Tenn., by four Texas natives, Lonestar erupted on the country music scene in 1995. Seven years later, the sound that carried the quintet to the top makes its way onto Pickin' On Lonestar, a dazzling collection of mandolin, Dobro and five-string banjo intermingled with acoustic guitar, bass and fiddle. Commanded by master musicians, this instrumental bluegrass approach takes the audience back home with its deep-rooted sound.
