Biography

One of my first loves in the music business was song writing, I've written close to a hundred songs. Mostly country and some gospel; the country songs are usually based on past experiences of mine or some of my good friends.Some songs are good and some are not so good. But I think one of my best was when I was making fun of my wife. It's a song called "Even When It Rains." I was making fun of her being afraid of thunderstorms and the song turned out to be a pretty darn good song. I've worked with some great song writers, particularly Howard Hausey Crockett who wrote several songs for Johnny Horton. My two best friends, Sonny Christopher and Larry Simpson, both are great writers. The gospel songs I have written come straight from the heart only God can move me to write His songs. Some of those are the ones of which I am most proud.Writing is and will always be a passion of mine.
