Biography
After announcing their formation as a band late last year, Red Camel Collective is excited for the release of their debut single, “Roll On Mississippi” - out now! The group consists of current Junior Sisk Band touring members Heather Berry Mabe, Tony Mabe, Curt Love and Johnathan Dillon.

"’Roll On Mississippi’ is one of our favorite Charley Pride songs. His version is just magic,” exclaims the band. “We are so excited to share our Bluegrass take on this classic. Come take a riverboat ride with us to a simpler time on the banks of the Mississippi, and stay a while…the water is fine!”

As previously mentioned, “Roll On Mississippi” is a song that was originally made famous by Country legend Charley Pride, when he released it in 1981. When Red Camel Collective went into the studio, the goal was to pay tribute to the late legend, but with a Bluegrass twist. The band's latest rendition is packed with energy and vitality, created to uplift the spirits of listeners. It features lead vocals (and guitar) from Heather Berry Mabe, who delivers a fresh and vibrant approach. She’s joined by Tony Mabe on harmony vocals and banjo, Jonathan Dillon playing mandolin, Curt Love performing bass, Gaven Largent on resonator guitar and Stephen Burwell playing fiddle. It was also co-produced, mixed and mastered by studio veteran Steve Wilson.

The group is currently in the Bonfire Recording Studio working on the full album, which is set for release later this year. Fans can expect to hear an array of different elements, including new material, classic hits, and plenty of inspiration from their years as part of the award-winning Junior Sisk Band. As a way of honoring their journey, they’re also paying homage to Sisk with the new name, which is inspired by his recording "The Man in Red Camels.”
