Scars In His Hands

4 Scars In His Hands (Steve Gulley, Doobie Shea Music, BMI)I wrote this song several years ago in the early days of my old group, Mountain Heart. We recorded it but it has since become unavailable over the last few years and we still have requests for it on the road. When I sat down and began to write this song, I really just started to think about what Christ must have been thinking in the time leading up to the crucifixion and his paying the ultimate price on Calvary’s hill. It’s hard to comprehend how he carried out God’s plan so willingly. I’m so thankful that he did. I asked my friends, Kenny and Amanda Smith, to help me with this one. They did such a great job.
